Last updated: September 2026

1. Who we are

AfeHab is a rental listing platform serving Ho and the Volta Region, operated by NerdIV Technologies. This policy explains what information we collect from tenants and agents/landlords who use the platform, and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

  • Account details: name, username, email address, phone number, and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
  • Agent verification details: Ghana Card number and verification status, collected from agents/landlords to confirm identity before listings go live.
  • Listing information: property details, location, price, and photos submitted by agents.
  • Booking and rental records: viewing requests, agreed rental agreement terms, and payment records, so both parties have a shared, timestamped record if a dispute arises.
  • Payment information: mobile money numbers and transaction references are handled by our payment processor, Paystack. We do not store your mobile money PIN or full payment credentials ourselves.
  • Reviews and complaints: ratings, review text, and complaint reports you submit about a listing or agent.

3. How we use this information

  • To verify agent identity before a listing is approved.
  • To connect tenants with agents for property viewings.
  • To generate rental agreements and process payments you initiate.
  • To maintain a public track record (listings count, average rating, resolved complaint count) for verified agents, so tenants can make informed decisions.
  • To investigate complaints and enforce the platform's trust and safety rules.

4. Who we share information with

We share payment details with Paystack solely to process mobile money transactions. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. Admins can view account and listing details as part of the review and moderation process described in our Terms & Conditions.

5. Your rights

Under Ghana's Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843), you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request correction of inaccurate data, and request deletion of your account, subject to records we are required to keep for dispute resolution or legal compliance.

6. Cookies and sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in and a CSRF token to protect against cross-site request forgery. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the platform changes. Material changes will be reflected by updating the date at the top of this page.
